Tasting Notes:
Very fragrant sweet berry fruit aromas with American oak vanilla tones. Light palate reflects a short summer. Lower than usual alcohol and acid lift fresh fruit flavours resulting in a soft yet rich wine with appealing savoury notes.

A challenging vintage. Early spring was wet, but cleared up for the first half of November before become wet and cloudy in the lead up to Xmas. The difficult weather persisted in January, but fortunately there were two hot and clear weeks in the first half of February that helped ripening. March and April were unsettled. Not the best vintage, but with our strict crop thinning and sorting at harvest some elegant and pure 2003 Dunleavy was made.
