The flagship wine of the estate: Te Motu is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, hand-harvested from low-yielding vines.

Tasting Notes:
Garnet in colour with a sweet fragrance on the nose along with secondary aromas of earth, mushroom and forest floor. Cassis and cedary oak on the palate with dried fruits, prunes and dried herbs. A mature wine with exceptional smoothness. A fantastic example of how Waiheke Bordeaux blends can age.

Early and excellent flowering and fruit-set were followed by cool conditions which slowed berry size development and lengthened the ripening season to a late harvest. With flavour ripeness developing somewhat later than optimum sugars the harvest delay resulted in highly concentrated fruit with relatively low alcohol.
