The Shed is a kiwi institution, a place of shelter, a feeling of being at home. When the Dunleavy family decided to open a vineyard restaurant to host guests, they converted the old vineyard shed into a casual, friendly dining space to epitomize that sense of comfort when dining among friends and family.
Our expression of Rosé, reminiscent of the Dry Provence style, is made from 100% Merlot grapes grown in a beautiful sun-drenched vineyard in Awaawaroa Bay, near the eastern end of Waiheke Island.

Stephen Wong MW – Real review – 92 points
A more accessible tier of wine from Te Motu, this restrained, modern rosé is made from merlot and is both a winter rosé and one which will benefit from a couple of years in the cellar, during which time it will gain in weight and depth.
Pale onion-skin. A complex and spicy nose with soft florals, light pear and wood smoke aromas unfurl from the glass with air. Surprisingly weighty on the palate, it is more secondary than fruity, with savoury richness on the fully dry finish as lightly chewy tannins emerge. Modern Bordelais-styled rosé with sneaky length within its sleek, mid-weight frame. (Screwcap)
