EVENTS AT TE MOTU.

The Classics, Ep03: Porco Rosso

Head Chef Rowan Stewart is back in the Te Motu kitchen, marking his return with a generous European-inspired feast built around pork, pasta and red wine.

The evening begins with pig’s head terrine, followed by spaghetti carbonara with guanciale, before porchetta takes centre stage alongside black apple purée.

Expect a night of European romance, culinary nostalgia and a little cinematic mischief, accompanied by red wines drawn from the Te Motu cellar.

Next session TBC

Join Te Motu founder Paul Dunleavy for an intimate seated tasting exploring rare wines, mature vintages, and the stories behind one of Waiheke Island’s founding vineyards.

Alongside current releases, guests may be poured museum wines and rare cellar bottles not ordinarily available through the tasting room, including occasional pours of Kuikui, Tipua, and other special releases drawn from the cellar.

Relaxed, personal, and likely a little different from any tasting you’ve had here before.

The Classics: Birds of a Feather

The next instalment in our The Classics dinner series lands on Friday 17 July, celebrating one of the world's great food and wine pairings... duck and red wine.

Duck has long been a favourite on the menus of The Shed. In the early 2000s, founder Paul Dunleavy mastered the art of Chinese-style Peking duck under the guidance of his mentor and former Head Chef, Peter Becker. For one evening only, our team revisit that iconic dish as the centrepiece of a four-course menu celebrating this remarkable bird.

Expect an evening of classic cooking, stories from the Te Motu kitchen, and some truly special wines drawn from the cellar.

Dinner Friday 17th July | The Shed at Te Motu

Four-course set menu $110 per person | $99 for Wine Club members.

What started as a ramen night has taken on a bit of a life of its own.

Dinner bookings for the evening are now largely full, but we’ve opened up a free GA booking option for those wanting to join us for drinks, music, snacks, and the atmosphere through the night.

Rowan and the kitchen will be running a special ramen menu for dinner guests, available à la carte or as a $75 set menu.

Alongside it, things drift into a slightly impromptu Cellar Door Nights session. Te Motu DJs Charlito on vinyl, happy hour Asahi, special cellar pours, Japanese-inspired snacks, and the bonfire running in the courtyard.

Dinner reservations are limited. GA entry is free, but bookings are still essential.
