THE SHED.
Welcome to The Shed, our own take on rural vineyard dining tucked among the vines of the Onetangi Valley on Waiheke Island.
The menu follows the seasons, shaped in part by a 685sqm kitchen garden grown exclusively for the restaurant, alongside produce from growers, farmers and local fishers we genuinely like working with. Our approach to food is serious but playful — thoughtful cooking without too much ceremony, designed to sit comfortably alongside a bottle of Te Motu.
Long lunches, shared plates, something cooked over fire, and serious bottles opened a little more casually than they probably should be.
Set within one of Waiheke Island’s oldest family-run vineyards, The Shed offers relaxed dining grounded in hospitality, seasonality, and wines that continue to evolve with age.

Friday through to Tuesday: open from 12pm for full a la carte lunch, wine tastings, drinks & snacks.

'The Classics' | Episode 03: Porco Rosso

Join us for the third instalment of our ongoing The Classics dinner series, celebrating one of the world's great food and wine pairings.
Head Chef Rowan Stewart is back in the Te Motu kitchen, marking his return with a generous European-inspired feast built around pork, pasta and red wine.
The evening begins with pig’s head terrine, followed by spaghetti carbonara with guanciale, before porchetta takes centre stage alongside black apple purée.
Expect a night of European romance, culinary nostalgia and a little cinematic mischief, accompanied by red wines drawn from the Te Motu cellar.

Group dining
For groups of 8 people and more, we serve our a Chef’s selection menu, incorporating the best of our seasonal à la carte offering, and designed to be shared mid-table “family style” ensuring everyone in your group will sample a variety of dishes.
We can cater to all dietary requirements separately as long as they are confirmed prior to your booking.
