Te Motu 'The Grafter" Syrah 2024
Te Motu 'The Grafter" Syrah 2024
Many years ago, in a sheltered vineyard on Waiheke Island, a man laboured to build his dream, grafting vines by hand to produce an extraordinary Syrah.
Led by fruit from a revered hillside vineyard on the Te Whau Peninsula, with the balance taken from our oldest Syrah vines on the estate. Matured for 20 months in French oak, it reflects the character of these places with clarity and restraint.
The wine shows both lift and depth, with rich dark fruit and a long, spiced finish, balanced by structure and freshness.
The Grafter can be enjoyed in its youth and will continue to evolve with careful cellaring.
A limited release of 1100 bottles.
